A: If the eyedrop bottles are empty, they are all set for recycling. The opacity of a container isn’t a factor in recyclability. We ask that containers and bottles be empty at a minimum, and rinsed whenever possible, for several reasons.
Can you recycle single use eye drop vials?
Can the RESTASIS® vials and the RESTASIS MultiDose ® bottle be recycled? Yes. They are recycle code #4. Keep in mind the RESTASIS MultiDose ® bottle uses less plastic than a package of single-use vials, so there is less plastic to be recycled.

How do you close single use eye drops?
Hold the bottle over your eye, with the dropper tip facing down. The dropper tip should be as close to your eye as possible without touching your eye.
Can I use Refresh eye drops with contacts?
LENSES: REFRESH CONTACTS® Contact Lens Comfort Drops is for use with soft (hydrophilic) and rigid gas permeable (RGP)* contact lenses. *Silicone acrylate and fluorosilicone acrylate rigid gas permeable lenses are recommended for use with REFRESH CONTACTS®.
How often can I use Refresh Plus eye drops?
Usually, drops may be used as often as needed. Ointments are usually used 1 to 2 times daily as needed. If using an ointment once a day, it may be best to use it at bedtime.
